Just Don't ...

Postage increases** plus the huge demands on paper & fuel for the card industry are an increasing topic of pre-Christmas conversations. So here is an alternative, paperless suggestion - and a cunning plan - from ServeDirect. Spoiler alert: this article does have a hidden motive. Should you decide to go along with this, ServeDirect will benefit ...
Don't Send Me a Card.com provides an ingenious alternative to this dilemma. Via the DSMAC website, you can send as few or as many cards as you like to all your nearest and dearest at any time of the year, not just Christmas. With the money you would have spent on cards & postage, you make a donation to your favourite/selected charity. Unsurprisingly, we are hoping that could be ServeDirect ...!
ServeDirect registered with DSMAC last year. Once you go to 'our' page, choose a traditional card or use an ServeDirect photo from the gallery - whichever you prefer. Each card can be customised - or the wording can be copied and pasted to everyone. No more painstaking writing of each individual card one by one. Thanks to our friend, lovely Lesley, who tipped us off to DSMAC last year, we received several donations throughout the year, so here we are in 2024, spreading the word a bit further.

Even if you're not a fan of digital cards, this option does redivert postage & card costs to be put to very good use. It also reduces paper waste and the tyranny of the last minute posting dates for Christmas. Once you create an account, it's a straightforward website to use and, if you are a 'communication junkie', then a creative way to send cards at any time. And if you do have a 'lastminute.com approach' to Christmas, then you can even press the 'send' button on Christmas Eve and feel smug!
For those who are historically attached to pigeon post, snail mail and supporting Royal Mail, (guilty as charged), perhaps you could pass on the idea of Don't Send a Card to someone else - and maybe we will get round to sending you a thank you card too .... digital of course.
A DSMAC card lasts the whole year - not just for Christmas! It is an easy way to be card-ready for all other birthdays and celebrations, Mothers Days, anniversaries, sorry and thank you cards for the rest of the year. Here's the website link again. Don't Send Me a Card.com
